Hamburger and Potato Casserole

- 1 lb ground beef
- chopped onion
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can vegetable beef soup (or cream of mushroom soup)
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Cook hamburger. Place in the bottom of baking dish. Add potatoes and other ingredients except cheese and mix together.
Cover with cheese and bake in 350° oven for 1 to 1-1/2 hrs.
Microwave instructions:
Crumble hamburger in 12"x8" baking dish. Microwave on high 4-6 min or until meat loses most of its pink color. Break up and drain. Stir in potatoes, soup, and salt. Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave on high 14-18 min, or until potatoes are tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring after half the cooking time. Stir mixture and sprinkle cheese over top. Microwave uncovered on high 2-3 min or until heated through.
