Soft-Cutout Cookie

Cream together:
- 1 cup shortening
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
Sift together:
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 4 to 4-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
Add sifted to creamed alternately with 1 cup sour cream. Chill.
Roll out, cut, and bake at 350° for 8 min. They don't brown. Makes 2-3 doz.
Frosting:
- 1 stick margarine
- Add 2 cups powdered sugar
- vanilla or orange extract
- Add milk to right consistency
