Taco Soup

- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 Tbs taco seasoning mix
- 1 Tbs ranch dressing mix
- 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans w/juice
- 1 (15 oz.) can kidney or black beans w/juice
- 1 (15 oz.) can hominy, drained
- 3 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes*
- 1 (6 oz.) can green chilies (optional)*
- salt and pepper to taste
Brown meat and onion and drain. Add the taco seasoning mix and ranch dressing mix and dissolve.
In a large pot add the remaining ingredients and then add the meat mixture. Heat and serve with grated cheese on top of each bowl.
If you use one can of tomatoes with chilies, delete the can of chilies.
Serves 6-8.
