Tortilla Casserole

12 tortillas (more if needed)
Sauce:
- 1/2 lb pork sausage or hamburger
- 1 cup catsup
- 1 Tbs lemon juice
- 1 Tbs horseradish (optional)
- 2 Tbs firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbs instant or chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1 1-lb can tomatoes (may be blended smooth)
- 1 1-lb can drained garbanzo beans or kidney beans
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Saute meat until browned. Add remaining ingredients except cheese. Simmer for 10 minutes uncovered.
Place half of the tortilla chips in the bottom of a well greased 2-1/2 qt baking dish or casserole. Pour half of sauce over chips. Top with cheese and repeat layers ending with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven 350° for 25-30 minutes.
